These unipolar sensors are designed to meet the requirements of a wide range of potential applications. The internal pull-up resistor often eliminates the need for external components. This lets you able to connect the sensor output directly to a microcontroller or an Arduino digital input without any further component required.
The sensor is molded in a three pins TO-92 case so it's compatible with any breadboard.
The potential applications covered by this sensors are: door or lid closure detection in appliances or anti intrusion systems, radial speed of gears and other robotics application, flow rate sensing in industrial processes etc.
