Power over ethernet adapter.
It's formed by a set of two splitter cables.
One splitter cable is formed by a CAT5E 10/100 Mbps RJ45 plug and a female DC connector. The second one is made by a CAT5E 10/100 Mbps RJ45 socket and a DC male connector.
With this splitter you can power remote ethernet devices without installing the power plug near the device itself. That means you will need only the ethernet connection because the power will be carried by the ethernet cable.
RJ14 pin assignments: 1/2/3/6 for data transfer; 4/5/7/8 for power transfer.
Warning: This product is not able to power up 802.3af PoE compliant devices. Using this adapter with such devices could damage the device itself.
For powering up 802.3af PoE compliant devices please use an active PeO adapter.
