Details: This unipolar current transducer works using of the Hall effect. It's able to measure current till 6Amps and could be adapted for three different scale range simply modifying the connection between pins (2, 4 and 6Amps).
This sensor has galvanic isolation between the primary circuit and the secondary circuit so you can use it to measure current of high voltage operating loads.

Using it is very simple: you need to provide a 5Volts and to read the voltage present to the output pin. This pin could be connected directly to an Arduino analog input. When no current is present in the primary circuit, the output sensor provides 2.5Volts. When current flows through the primary circuit, the output voltage varies proportionally (increasing or decreasing following the current sign).

This sensor is the ideal end easy solution to measure current flowing in DC or AC motors or to monitor PC or other appliances power consumptions.
