With Netduino GO, we wanted to give makers (our traditional customers) the freedom to build bigger and better projects. But we also wanted to empower a new market (no-solder users).
So the new Netduino Go is true plug-and-play. All IO is virtualized. It has eight sockets, and each one can support anything from a potentiometer module to a rich touchscreen display.
Netduino Go has four times the speed (168MHz), six times the code space (384KB) and twice the RAM (128KB) of Netduino Plus 1st edition.
The Netduino GO Starter Kit includes the "Shield Base". The Shield Base provides the latest Arduino pinout and lots of raw analog inputs, PWMs, IOs, and serial ports to users (along with SPI and I2C).
