Adapters

The VoIP adapters let you able to interconnect old phone networks with your VoIP system.

There are two different types of adaptors:

  • Analog adaptors
  • ISDN adaptors
The analog adaptors are able to interface to the old plain switch telephone network (PSTN). Normally they are used where is not possible to replace the complete analog phone set, or where fax or other automatic telephone systems (like, for example, surveillance systems) were present. Some of that are needed to interface a SIP based PBX with a public PSTN telephone system.

The second type of adapters, instead, is able to interact with ISDN lines. They normally are found in business environments.
